Our History

The Villa with its marvelous century-old park is very interesting in terms of landscape and it is also important from the historic and archaeological points of view.

The main villa dates back to the 17th century and is enriched with stone decorations, an elegant lemon greenhouse and a private chapel enhancing the beauty and magnificence of the place.

The country house with apartments to rent dates back to the 18th century and it was originally a mill, as stated in some historic documents. It was then modified several times until 2000 when careful renovation works gave this historic house in the Tuscan countryside a new life and value.

Next to the historic villa for holiday rentals in Cortona there is a lovely outbuilding with another apartment. This cottage was originally used as a stock room for farm implements, as we can see from the big arch windows that have been kept during renovation. Another small building, which probably was a chapel in the past, is used today as a storehouse and completes the beauty and abundance of historic buildings within this estate.

Last but not least, we should not forget that this place is very important from the archaeological point of view thanks to the presence of the Roman villa of Ossaia, an admirable example of villa dating back to the post-Republican and Imperial periods, where some wonderful mosaics have been found and are now displayed at the MAEC Museum in Cortona. The Roman villa is located within the estate, surrounded by olive groves, and you can visit it whenever you want while taking a walk amid the ruins.
